When was the last time you didn’t track the foods you are eating?
You know what I mean. Each and every time you are about to eat, you pull out your phone, open up MyFitnessPal and begin calculating.
You begin calculating how much you can eat, if it fits, if it’s a good use of your calories for the day.
From there you might question if you should head to the gym just so you can eat more.
If you’re going out to a restaurant, it NEEDS to have the nutrition information listed.
This is a vicious cycle.
Your anxiety is always at an all time high.
Your mind is constantly thinking about numbers and calories.
And if you’re like me, you’d already know what you’re eating tomorrow because you’ve already planned it out. I was obsessed.
Tracking and calculating my food was like ‘the norm’ for me, I didn’t even really question it. I knew I had goals and what it took to achieve them.
But what I didn’t know.. is how much it was actually holding me back.
You see, when you’re so committed you’ll do anything to follow through.. that is until you’ve reached your limit.
Maybe this is 3-4 days of saying no to sugar.
Maybe this is 2-3 days of working out and you’re just so sore.
Maybe this is a really hard day AND it’s your time of the month.
So you grab for the chocolate. And then you’re triggered and want more. So you go grab the chips out of the cupboard that you’ve hidden behind things hoping you’ll forget. Now you really did it, you’ve messed up your entire day. So you go grab some cookies, and brownies, and then maybe ice cream.
Before you know it, you’re absolutely miserable and disappointed in yourself. You feel 100x worse than you did from your hard day. How could you let this happen?
Yeah girl, I know. It’s not a good feeling.
There is a better way. It’s time to say goodbye to the diets and the counting. It’s time to stop trying to be perfect and ‘on’ 24/7 365. (not going to happen girlfriend!) You need something sustainable, something that works.
I want you to imagine what life would look like if you were no longer attached to a number – a calorie number, macro numbers, a scale number, etc. I know this is difficult.
But let me tell you -
IT’S SO FREEING.
